I want to and am going to transition but I dont know where to start :( If anyone could help me figure things out I would love you forever! Things arent black and white for me though. When I transition it will have an affect on a teenager.Thats another topic for another time. PLEASE HELP!

It pretty much depends on where You are located. In most cases it involves starting therapy first and hormones a bit afterwards, so to give You a bit of full stop to think it all over, come to terms with Yourself and make that decision. Not everybody needs the therapy, some people are dead set on hormones at any cost and in some places You dont need the therapist, but can rather go to general practitioner and do "the informed consent". In any event while on HRT You should get Yourself a good endocrinologist (sometimes it is done by GP or other practitioners too, but endo is the best) to assign You the blood tests, screen You from time to time and adjust the dosage.

1. Do you have a therapist? One who has worked with a lot of transgender people might help?

2. Have you dressed as a woman and gone out into public? Doing that really helped me figure out whether it was right for me.

3. Is there a transgender support group or meetup in your area? It might help to meet people who have transitioned and hear their experiences.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Please do not self medicate. I did that and nearly wrecked my kidneys. It is too easy to obtain all sorts of drugs and medications over the internet. You have no way of knowing what it is doing to you, if the dosage is right, if the medications are suitable for your particular needs and so on.

It is not as scary as it seems going to a Doctor and saying, "I'm transgender'd." If your Doctor is professional they will help you find the resources you need, If they don't help you, you would not want them as a Doctor anyway.

I wish you the very best of luck and best wishes with your journey. I started mine in August 2010 and have just recently started shopping for a GRS Surgeon. So my journey is far from over. You will find there will be many ups and downs along the way. It is a very interesting journey.

I will be thinking of you, Hugs,

Jen
I dream of a world where a chicken can cross the road without it's motives being questioned.
