PFLAG Transgender Network announces Our Trans Children, Version 5. Our
Trans Children has been published by TNET since the mid-1990's; we recommend
it as an excellent way to introduce family members to all aspects of
transgender, transsexual, and intersex.
This is the culmination of a great deal of work by PFLAG DC member Jessica
Xavier, with considerable help and input from TKF member and TYFA leader Kim
Pearson, Robyn Walters, Children's National Medical Center's Dr. Edgardo
Menvielle and Cathy Tuerk, and PFLAG's Judy Hoff. It is very current,
having been completed earlier this year, with the most updated information
available. I congratulate them on preparing an excellent book.
Noteworthy is the inclusion of information about care and treatment of
pre-teen and teen-aged children, which has not been a part of earlier
editions. With the beginning of publication by PFLAG National, we now have
a color cover, designed to match the other PFLAG pamphlets. As part of our
blending more closely with PFLAG, the booklet includes the same PFLAG
information and membership invitation as the other PFLAG pamphlets.
There will be a Spanish Version 5 shortly. It awaits only another press run
of booklets for PFLAG. It will have the same pricing.
