Mr.X

Hey ya'all.

So yesterday I finally started on T. It's Androgel, and a very low dose just so my body can adjust and adapt.
I don't expect any changes to happen very soon due to the low dose, but my throat did feel a little off yesterday. And today, I feel off. I'm not ill or nauseus or something, just very slightly off. Does anyone recognize this?

Or maybe I'm just coming down with a cold. Hmm...

Congrats!

I was on a low dose for two weeks, but asked the doctor to bump it up to full speed this past week. All I've really noticed so far is feeling a little bit...odd...down south, if you catch my drift, and just oilier skin than usual.

As far is feeling off, I dunno about that but I do feel really restless a lot of the time. Like I need to go out and just sprint a couple hundred yards or knock out a few dozen pushups. And the restless feeling alternates between wanting to nothing but sleep :)

Those were the changes I was rooting for, actually! xD

But what I feel feels like just before you get ill. You're just a little off, a bit tired and very slightly shivery without actually being ill. I think it's just my body going like: What is this T? What do I do with it? Let's fight it! Or I was scheduled for a flu anyway.

I was just wondering if other guys experienced this in their first days of starting T.

Yeah I know the feeling you're describing. I didn't get that after my first dose.

I hope you aren't getting the flu...that would be a big bummer  :-\

I get that, a lot people think im coming down with a cold but im not, after a few days on T it did feel like i was getting a cold but it was the side effect from T that working in your throat area. I did make me sound funny and makes me cough quite a bit.

So let hope it the T doing it job and not getting ill. Also congrats!

I think it's T, not a cold. I have seen this very early on in a lot of people. My voice changed even on a VERY low dose of cream. It isn't really quite in the male range consistently-- it's there about half the time though after 3 months. I got stronger right away so I can do guy's push ups which I could not before and can open jars. I got some lower growth early.

The "cold" is so common, I think it should be called the "T- cold". :)

Hmm, are you guys only talking about the throat then, or the entire body? Because I feel generally off, not just the throat.

I got some cold-like symptoms shortly after starting T. A lot of people seem to have that.

that sounds like a really nice cold to get. how i envy people who are trans enough for their doctors or live in more liberal countries than norway...

I felt the same after starting my gel. I actually felt a bit nauseous and low-energy as well. It only lasted like a week, maybe less.

Sounds like an immune system reaction? Perhaps changes on T, though I didn't have this at all.
