I doubt it! Its been almost 9 years since half life two came out. I think valve is more interested in making money off their other ventures than they are in expanding the story of Gordon Freeman at the moment.

Valve never make threequels. No HL3, no episode 3, no L4D3, no Portal 3, no TF3, no DoTA3... They'll just make a new franchise instead.

Makes no sense to me...if one already has a fan base, and enthusiasm for the story/product...why quit?

It's like Ford having the market cornered on cop cars...they had 95% of the entire US locked in with the Crown Victoria...then they say, "Meh, let's stop making the Vic. It's an old car anyway."

I just don't know about companies...first they say they're "for profits!", then they do things that sink the ship...
