I am on 3 forums online that are animal training related. I run one of them. Last night I came out on one. I just said basically that I was legally changing my name from _____ to ________. And I was going to live as the person I was meant to be, or somesuch.
Got a couple really nice responses. One of which was "Happy birthday Jay". :)

Congrats! ;D I can't say I got a very positive reaction when I came out on the forum I was on, and I know how important it is when you become a part of these communities to have their support. Really happy for you!

These are all clicker trainer boards, and I have noticed that they are socially liberal as a group. Of course, there are always individuals that may not be. I just got another comment: "May you continue to always be who you were meant to be- and to the fullest!"
I actually wasn't expecting *this* nice a reaction.
