Anyone drilled a hole in a Flexrod?

As my search continues to educate myself on what my best choice is for my next purchase, I began wondering about this. Has anyone ever bought a packer(play) with a flex rod in it, drilled a hole into the flex rod (as I assume, with how we as a consumer culture have come to prefer price over quality, they are hollow) and then slipped some tubing down and created an stp out of it? As i've come to pack almost daily I feel i've gotten the hang of it now and feel confident I could hide and wear a 5in 'erect' packer in every day life, but if i'm going to make that kind of investment I want to also be able to use it as an stp.

So has anyone ever tried this? If so i'd love to hear how it went.

The flex rods are silicone. It's going to be hard to do. I also thought the rods were solid, but not sure there. Anybody buying a RM or something like that is going for quality.

Oh I thought for the most part they were all the ball and joint variety? Which to my knowledge is hollow.

I'm not sure how they are in a higher quality packer/prosthetic, but i got a kinda cheap one with a flex rod and it was far too thin for you to drill a hole in and put in tubing.
