Stopping periods?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here knows how I can stop having periods without testosterone or birth control.  I am actually currently on birth control shots but I have to take it all my life and I am aware of its side effects and it's just terrifying me.  I am not interested in taking testosterone because I don't want facial hair but I heard of "natural" transitioning methods so I was wondering if anyone has tried this? Thank you.

I have no experience with natural transitioning myself, but I have heard that it's very hard to keep up with and really doesn't do much.

In regards to what you're looking for- A quote out of "Natural Transitioning, an FTM Alternative"- "My menstrual cycle did not go away... it became strange for a while. It would seemingly be late and fade like it was trying to stop." So... if you were doing very well with natural transitioning, your period would probably just be less frequent and lighter. If you want to see this book, Amazon lets you look inside part of it. From a quick glance, it seems like there's still a possibility of facial hair with natural transition. Not a lot, but it's there.

I don't have any suggestions for making it stop, but making it less frequent and/or lighter is more possible. Also from what you've described, it seems like Natural Transitioning probably isn't what you're looking for.

Unfortunately natural transitioning (with supplements) isn't possible. Testosterone boosters only work on those with testes and it will just harm your liver. I've heard that lots of exercise and weight lifting can stop periods though.

TBH, I don't think the effects from natural transition are all that impressive. I think there might be some changes, I'll give you that. But when I see them on youtube they seem very happy with changes  in a year or two that you might see at maybe 3 months. The other problem is just because it's "natural" doesn't mean "safe". My doctor was very happy I hadn't taken any T supplements as she feels they are quite toxic on the liver. She does use some natural/alternative medicine. I also question, how you'd increase the level of T in a system that really doesn't have much T in it to stimulate.

A number of years ago, I was taking birth control pills, and the doc told me I could skip the last week of pills (apparently, they had no hormones in them), start a new packet immediately, and thereby skip the period. I was told to do this for a few months and then take all the pills in a packet so that I would have a period a few times a year. I was desperate to stop the red death, so I did it.

I've heard that there's one particular BCP designed for four or five periods a year. It has a stupid name...can't remember it. Someone else will know. It's available in the U.S., but I'm not sure where you are.

Anyway, if you don't mind stopping the shots, pills can give you options.
