I told my 3 grown children today who I am. I have always had a special relationship with them and I was pretty sure they would accept me but I worried how the news would affect my two daughter's husbands and my contact with my 3 grandchildren. My children were wonderful, beyond anything I could have hoped for and I was assured I would always be welcome in their homes and with my grandchildren no matter how I presented. The largest and most common concern I heard was why did I wait so long to tell them. It was a wonderful day.

I'm so glad to hear that Beth. I love to hear families accepting. Even though it sounds right wing because those bastards have coopted it, family is important.
I'm still hoping for Steph's daughter to be as accepting.

Oh Beth,
So lovely to hear about your experience with your children. I don't think there could possibly be anything that could come between my love for my children and me. The reaction from your children indicates a lot of love coming your way.
Once again I find a tear in my eye for all the right reasons. One of the best parts of being here is being able to share such lovely experiences with the others here.

I am so happy for you Beth, families are so, so important to us. Life is so much easier when family supports and is behind us. It truly is a blessing. It just shows what a special person you are.
Take care,
Steph
