6'4" here and I've gotten looks and am easily remembered since middle school.  It's just what height does.  Own it, be confident and consider wearing flats (most tall women do).

There are alot of tall women around here too. Most of the time I don't worry about how I will look or stand out. Then other times I go hang out with friends of mine that are cis women and they are considerably shorter then I. one of them doesn't even come up to my armpit. In those cases and when(like today) I am little depressed things like height hand size feet size length of my legs ect do really bother me. I am 6'4" size 12 men's shoe I can fit into most size 13 women's shoes.

I've been complimented on my height, as if I had a choice. But I always assume the stares are either because I am so amazingly gorgeous or because I have a tattoo of a dragon on my right breast...or both!  :D

I am 6'2" and I never know exactly why people start at me so I just assume it's 'cause I'm shockingly beautiful lol.  Definitely not that I look like a giraffe or something worse.

Own it :)

This is a great thread! My wife is nervous that she'll stand out once she transitions because she's 6'2", but it seems like she has nothing to worry about! Me on the other hand, I'm a cis girl and I get a lot of looks for being so short; I'm only 5'1". Really it goes either way!

I was going to say something, but then CannedRabbit beat me to the punch. I am 6'2", and yeah, I'm pretty nervous about the height thing, but I already get stares, and I haven't even begun transition yet! I'd like to think of my size as an advantage though.

The best part about being 6'1" (I lost an inch during transition) is that if the people below are staring, I'm too tall to notice

I don't mind my hands, I've got skinny fingers but still large hands but shoes is a real pain! I'm a size 12/13 in most men's so 12.5 is the smallest women's shoes I can fit in, makes life expensive and my choice limited... Mostly just enjoying sneakers for now :)

I have relatively skinny hands for men but even women my height don't have nearly the hands I have, my bone structure is proportionate to women my height with the exception of hands and feet. My mom has always commented that she can't believe how big my hands and feet are, she knew nothing of me being transgender before last year. when I was a teenager she always compared my hands and feet with hers.

Sometimes I think I might be intersex and they had surgery on me when I was a baby. That is why she can't believe the size of my hands and feet, but says nothing of my 2 older brothers. That and They were born in a small town hospital and because of complications that she won't discuss with me I had to be born in a big city hospital.

When I get down about my height, I practice gratitude that my hands aren't equally as large.  When I get down about my size 12 women's feet, I remember they are at least rather narrow.  I think we have to focus on what we like about our bodies as much if not more than what we feel insecure about.  I also think if we are insecure about our height (for example) we can work on other things like our fashion choices, voice, make up, etc., all things completely within our control.

I'm 6ft and don't really find I get any extra stares. I don't think height has any impact on passing as well really. Where I live there a quite a few women who are slightly taller than me.

Ok I had a weird dream last night. Ok for the last week or so I have been dreaming about transitioning and after transition.

So Last night I had a dream that I was done with my transition FFS HRT SRS ect. anyways I was walking down the street and I ran into my male self and we hug. I wake up feeling great , refreshed and generally in a good mood. BTW my mood sucked yesterday I was really depressed.

Anyways I kind of wondered about that dream, wonder if it meant I need to get in touch with my male side as with my female side? Or Something like that

Its probably just made you more aware of your self and that you may be in a good place of life at the moment after all we are all doing what we have wanted since we could think for our selves

Who knows about dreams?  It's whatever you think they mean.

If it were my dream, I'd take it to be that my male side was happy, perhaps even relieved, that my female side was happy and doing well after a long struggle.

I like it :)

I am taller around 6 foot to 6 foot 1?  I dont really care about people who stare and I dress as femme as possible.  I love everything that is girly and plan on enjoying :)  Do you and be confident with what you do and no stare will matter to such a confident lady ;)
