Another Type II diabetic here. My A1C testing was increased from once every 4 months to every 3 months for my first year on HRT, and all of my liver panel tests were done on that schedule too. My HRT dose was what some people would think was ineffective, but in 4 years I have done fine that way. My Hormone levels were T= Female normal and E also female normal after 6 months, and have stayed that way for four years. My Endo took over my diabetes care as well as my HRT, which is how my health plan does it. I was at 7.9 on my A1C test two weeks before my surgery, but since I was healing well from other scrapes and scratches, my GP wrote a letter telling Dr. Bowers to go ahead and work on me, which she did. My hospital menu though was diabetic and weight loss related. GRRRR -- Get your endo to handle both diabetes and HRT, and you will do fine. I have two TGirl friends, a type 1 and another type II and both are doing fine.
