Hey y'all!
I am (almost) at 5 months post op form FFS . I absolutely love how I am looking, the swelling has gone down considerably, and I am even regaining sensation at the top of my head!

One complaint though... I cannot breath out of one of my nostrils. This is very annoying when I go running and makes sleeping uncomfortable. It often puts me in an irritable mood. I think (if this is possible) that there is an extra piece of skin somewhere from healing, or perhaps the swelling has not gone down completely.

My question to you all is... has anyone experienced something similar? I am rather frustrated at this now and would absolutely HATE to have to get a revision done. I have contacted the Drs office and they are on vacation for the next week so they will get back to me later.

Any suggestions on what I should do? If I pull back on my cheek I seem to breath better (FWIW). I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks in advance! Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated :)

Google 'nasal cycle'.  It may be possible to, ah, 'deflate' the turbinate on that side of your nasal cavity by lying on your side with the blocked passageway on the top.  Id est, if you can't breathe from the left side, lie down on your right shoulder for up to about 20 minutes.

I haven't had surgery, but I deal with this all the time.  If you're paying attention, you should be able to feel the switch in blockage both from pressure and gradual switch in breathing ability.

Of course, it could be something different altogether...

Thanks Julie.
I never use any of those things. I believe my nose is clogged because of excessive scar tissue from healing or the interior of my nasal passage collapsed. Some days I can barely breath out of it, some days it is completely blocked. If I pull back on my cheek I can breath freely from that nostril. Very annoying and hopefully a dr. will be able to help me if it does not sort its self out. I am already 5 months post op so I don't think it would take that long to recover from a nosejob (would it?)
