Estrogen protocol in Canada

Can you get estrogen from family doctor?

Or does it have to be through psychiatrist or therapist?

Only an MD can prescribe medication, so you could get it from your family doctor or a psychiatrist (they are an MD).  Therapists generally aren't MDs.  Some/most(?) family doctors would probably refer you to an endo instead of prescribing it themselves (which is what mine did).  Usually they'll want a therapist letter if they follow WPATH type standards.

My GP prescribed my HRT for many years until I insisted on seeing an endocrinologist - turned out that my GP didn't really know what she was doing, just guessing and "doing what others do". Years of inadequate hormone levels left me with osteoporosis. Better to deal with a specialist, at least once in awhile to keep things on track.

Canada Customs still have a problem with EVERYTHING! Fortunately I live only 1.5 hours from the border and have a friend across the line. If I cannot get a Canadian prescription or it is too expensive here, I have it sent to the U.S. address.

Every fall *for years* used to spend a week or two at "Lac des Bois" with my dad ! ! Sorry - know u hate French - "Lake of the Woods"!
