On Thursday, President Obama spoke about LGBT issues and the need to end workplace discrimination, but refused to mention the Executive Order he said he would sign if he was reelected. He focused on a bill which is in the Senate to ban LGBT discrimination in the workplace, though never discussed how he thought the bill would move through the Republican lead House.

Obama in many ways has really let me down. I have been a huge supported since 2004 and was ecstatic when he was elected yet here we are still in a room without a view. I don't really care about politics other then trans rights and worker's rights (the right to earn a living wage) so I almost never talk about it but this saddens me.

When it comes to politians, I never get my hopes up. Everytime they open their mouths and speak it turns into a lie.

But one thing he did not mention was the executive order he has been asked to sign to end anti-LGBT job bias among federal contractors — despite it being the reason his wife was heckled recently and a huge priority for the LGBT community.

An Executive Order is only lawful when it pursuant to an Act of Congress, or pertains only to the operation of the Executive branch.

Presidents who think they can "make law" outside of the scope of their Constitutional role, are nothing more than dictators.
