So, Friday I went in for a full a hysto ---- finally all that junk is out of my body!!!!  I had a davinci - which is a robotic arm.  It went smoothly -- no issues.  I was released from the hospital that day (my wife is a nurse that works with the doctor who preformed the surgery so I was released to my wife).

I can honestly say I have had very little pain.  My throat hurt the first day -- had a couple smoothies/shakes and it helped.  I haven't had to take any of the narcotics prescribed to me ... it's been over the counter stuff.  Saturday I was up and around and took a couple naps throughout the day.  Today, Sunday .... I have been up all day - had lunch with the kids & went on a hike in the woods.  Then went out to dinner with the wife in the evening.  Seriously, guys the surgery is not bad at all.

I have four small incisions (one inch in length) that have internal dissolving stitches.  It totally will not look like anything but four small cuts or such if you will be able to even see them when they are healed.

Fantastic! I'm planning to have my hysto as part of my bottom surgery process, so I doubt that it will be as pleasant. But I'm glad yours was.

Sound like the way to go to be rid of those extra parts that I never wanted in the first place.  I still get monthly and think every month how nice it would be to not have that bleeding every month.  This davinci method seems to be the simplest way yet.  I remember a few years ago a friend of my mother's had a hyster and she in the hospital for days and was 6 six before she could do much at all.  I need to get the money and look for a trans friendly dr.
