I didn't think you were ignoring my message; however, I want to make sure you do absorb some of the advice you've been getting.  I've been where you are and I've done the same thing.  In fact, you remind me of myself when I was 19.  I had a great support group offering me endless advice on how to move forward.  And in response I shunned it and let my fears/anxieties get the best of me.  I don't want to see that happen to another person who can avoid my mistake.   It's tough to take the initial steps, but sometimes we have to bite the bullet and meet the challenge.  You will do well.  I have faith in you.

I just checked out reviews on Neil Hannon...and he's got 2.5-3 stars on average. And the comments don't speak very well of him. He's free...but what about room and board? Is that covered too?

It's an option I guess, but I'd rather pay for Melady Preece because she's part of WPATH and has a lot of experience with trans people.

Unless you know of a Psych in the north who has experience with trans people...even if they were a little bit closer than kelowna. It's just that the current situation my family is in, I literally cannot travel long distances; there is too much crap going on. And that is not an excuse, that is the truth.

There's really no reason to be rude...

And no, they don't all have the same training..some have more experience with trans people which means that that they won't treat you like you're insane or you don't know what you are doing by starting hrt.

I was just asking if room and board is covered by med insurance and if there is possible
a closer option for me.
