I've decided to quit lurking and join the forum
My name, obviously, is Brenna. Or Bren, if you like. I am a bisexual (trisexual? pansexual?) MtF transsexual who has begun the journey towards transition.
I'm currently 27, and have been experiencing cross-gender inclinations since the onset of puberty. I was sneaking into my sister's closet as young as 11 or 12. I was basically bisexual at that time as well, until I came to understand the taboo nature of 'being gay' ... those feelings resurfaced, of course, a few short years later. ;P The women I date tend to be pretty 'butch' - my first girlfriend is in the air force now; more than one are now lesbians; and a couple of others are bisexual (one even told me "I haven't played with one of -these- in a long time" ... lawl)
I am fairly androgynous by nature, in the sense that I'm not strongly biased towards overt masculinity or femininity. For the past few years I have actually identified as an androgyne. Getting older and manlier has forced me to reconsider my identity -- I can't pull off "what are you?" anymore ;P Plus, the more I've researched and understood the true nature of transsexualism, the more I've realized that it describes me pretty well. Not to mention my persistent and ever-growing need to be female :O
I'm a nerd and a computer guru, with a preference for Linux and the open source world in general

I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Dr. Who, J.R.R and George R.R., and mostly anything sci-fi or fantasy. Sometimes I feel like an alien (or elf) in a human body :O

I'm left-handed; I'm 6'3"; I have long blonde hair and a double-crown ;P Also my feet are two different sizes ?? And I think that smileys should be officially added to the english language as punctuation marks
