So... I've tried a few different deodorant/antiperspirants, and I'm having a lot of trouble finding one that works as an antiperspirant without smelling overwhelmingly like man. I don't smell tons, but boy do I sweat. Especially since I'm in a new place which is much more humid than where I was before.

I've tried Men's Degree Adrenaline, Original Old Spice, Arrid, and now Old Spice Sweat Defense. Just got the last one, so I don't know how well it'll work yet. So far its done well but the smell right after I put it on is stronger than I'd like.

What about an unscented anti perspirant?

Amazon has every major brand for men in unscented, scoot over there so you'll recognize the packaging. Or just order from them.

I've used the 'female' brand Secret, unscented for years. It works 100% for me. Link is a picture of what it looks like.

My gf uses Mitchum that has a sporty scent that could really go either way. I've had to use it before when I ran out of my stuff and didn't feel like I smelt like a woman or anything. I think they have an unscented one too. Mitchum is serious stuff. I sweat like a pig but I could put that on and skip a day before using anything again.

I like the Arm and Hammer antiperspirants. It's strong, and the smell is mostly neutral/non-existent.

To paraphrase Mama June, I sweat like a prostitute in a church ;) so I struggle to find suitable deodorants. Devlyn's suggestion of a fragrance-free anti-perspirant is a great idea, but I find that men's deodorants tend to be more effective than women's deodorants, so if you can find a men's version (which is difficult) that might be preferable.

I also have sensitive skin which tends to become sensitised to deodorants, which means that if I spray myself with one of the deodorants to which I'm intolerant, I start sweating profusely as my body tries to wash it off my skin. ::)  So I keep a selection of four different deodorants, and I cycle them every few weeks so my body doesn't have time to get sensitised to them.

Another good suggestion is to try roll-on deodorants. There are some with all-natural ingredients; some with extra-strong anti-perspirant action; some that don't leave white marks on your clothes; and some that are unscented. They're worth taking a look.

Oh, and I clean myself several times a day to get rid of the sweat. If it gets really bad during the day, I keep a pack of unfragranced baby wipes (the kind you use when cleaning their behinds) so that I can wipe my armpits and reapply fresh deodorant. I don't stop sweating until my final wash around 8pm.

Aand finally... I found that adding the recommended dose of disinfectant to my bath water (the type you'd use to sanitise cuts) helps to stop me from sweating so badly, because it kills some of the bacteria on the skin. I don't recommend doing this all the time, but it can be very helpful on those days when you're super-sweaty.

Beware of roll-on deodorant if you have long pit hair. Yeahhh bad experience once. :o

I like the Arm and Hammer type of deodorant. It's very strong in terms of how it works as an antiperspirant (stops sweating) and has almost no smell. I really don't like the way most deodorants smell or work. This is what I would recommend

My vote for unscented Mitchum. I work out 6 times a week for around 1hr 20mins HARD. And I also do 1hr+ of Taekwon-do 3 times a week on top of that and for the latter I wear a binder.

I know sweat! And I know it allllllll too well.  Been through a few deodorants, even the arm and hammer ones but Mitchum is the absolute only one that takes away all hints of horrible sweat smell. I mean with the amount I end up sweating, I'm going to sweat no matter what product I use, bit at least with Mitchum it doesn't smell! And yeah, unscented too so it's double win.

Heh, good point! I had one of those experiences too and it was quite unpleasant.

Dunno if they're different on your side of the Pond, but here in the UK many men's roll-ons are either solid sticks of fragrance, or squeezy bottles with a thick paste inside. I avoid any that are in the old-style old roller-ball bottles that are common in women's roll-ons.

Oh god, dude! You just made me cringe so hard there. I can feel a lonely man tear coming just imaging the pain and sting of the roller ball. Like ripping out hairs and then rolling over the site! Holy hannah! That's gotta hurt!
