So I drove 1 &1/2  hours to get to the Dr. I had picked out to receive HRT from after my therapist told me that he'd write a letter for me if one was requested of him. So I come to find out that apparently he really wasn't ready as it seems like he expected that it would take some time for me to find someone. On top of that I got the vague impression that they both are waiting for a greater level of acceptance from my parents.  So I've signed a consent form for HRT, and I just had all the tests done, but it sounds like I'm not going to get anything for about a month. I just so feel so detached now that I don't really know what to do. I'm worn out from this whole process.

A month is really a blink in the grand scheme of things. It will take many months before hrt does much for you anyway.

In the meantime, are there things you can do that help you feel true to yourself?
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Start exercising now! Get Yourself in shape or even a better shape! It took me about 3-4 frustrating months to get on HRT and I was very depressed at times, feeling like I am stuck and nobody cares about anything. But I am glad that I had that period to get ready - mentally and physically, to do the research, learn the basics and start cutting tails.
Naomi, be safe and be strong!
