So my surgeon asked me whether I wanted the tip elevated or normal. As I don't really know about the difference, I just told him to do it as per what he thinks will be best for me. He told me he'll go for what he calls the 'elevated tip' aka 'Barbie nose' cos it's more feminine. I heard 'Barbie' I thought that sound nice and might look nice on me. Today I check my face in the mirror, I look nothing more than a PIG. I'm so depressed. Were you ever asked to choose between the 2 styles and which one did you go for?

Someone who has the tip very elevated, is it possible to do another surgery to make it go down later?

From what you say, it sounds like you only just had the surgery. Give it a few weeks, let the swelling go down and I'm sure you won't look at all like a pig ... and my guess you don't look too piggy now, really. We're all our own worst critics.

Give yourself some time to heal, really.

I too had an elevated tip and thought the very same thing.  I was not pleased with the way my nose looked initially.

But after several weeks and the swelling went down, the exaggerated upward tilt came down and no longer looked "pigish".  But after that looked rather cute.

Your face will take weeks and months to heal.  The look just after the operation will change, really.

It's really unfortunate that your nose looks like a pig, but i agree with the advice to wait. Surgery like that won't look anywhere near the same right after the surgery compared to a long time afterwards. Personally I want everything to be very natural looking eventually. I have no intention of looking like barbie, because I don't feel the need to stand out, I just want to pass and look presentable/ good

Big hug! Let yourself heal, and stop being your own worst critic! No mirrors or cameras for you until things settle in. Hugs, Devlyn
