For some - including Harry, who fronted the legendary punk-turned- pop band Blondie - the tour's goals have defined their worlds for decades.

"My world has always been about transgender and multigender for many, many years, so it doesn't seem like such a big issue to me," Harry told The Denver Post last week. "I don't care what kind of sexuality people have, as long as they're decent human beings and they treat each other with respect."

But for others, gay rights remains a hot-button political issue.
