Cooling towels + binders?

So I saw this commercial recently advertising this cooling towel (I think it was called enduracool) that was originally designed for pro athletes to use. Basically you get the towel wet and then snap it and it's supposed to stay cool. Some reviews I've seen say it stayed cool for 40 minutes to a couple hours. I immediately though of getting one, cutting it in size and trying it under a binder on a hot day. I haven't done it yet. So far I've only seen them at Lowe's home improvement store for about $14. If I do get around to trying it, I'll mention if it works or not. Sure would make a difference to have a cooling layer though on a hot day!

Yeah that's right. I live in the desert Southwest of the US. It is hot here but very low humidity. I am just as hot in a binder here as elsewhere because of the fact that you can't release sweat. The binder traps it. I even have the Loveboat ones with the mesh back. I suppose they help but sweat doesn't sort of magically migrate from the front of the binder to the back.

Yeah I suppose the evaporation factor would kill it. There has to be a more breathable fabric option out there to make binders from. Plenty of athletic clothing and equipment has breathable fabric, it would just be a matter of finding a way for it to also do the job of compression to the extent it's needed in a binder.
