Can secondary labiaplasty(minor labia/clitora be done at the 1st surgery itself?

I heard there is the standard SRS to do the general hole, then after a few months you need to return if you want to do the secondary labiaplasty which include a well defined minora labia + clitoral hood. Can all these not be done in the 1st surgery itself to avoid displacement 2 times abroad?

Do you know a surgeon who can do ALL at once?

Why they need to do it in 2 times and cannot do all at once or maybe it's possible and a surgeon as such exist?

But without the secondary labiaplasty your vagina will just look like a plain hole right? (with no clitoris hood & majora labia)

They are only vagonoplasty with out labiaplasty

The labia majora is created at the first surgery.  It is the labia minora that is created in the optional second surgery.  The exterior gentilia looks completely normal, trust me.  I thought about having the second surgery, but I don't feel it is necessary.

No surgeon can create both the labia majora and minora because of the physiological constraints involved.  Creating a minora at the time of the first surgery would cut across capillaries of tissue that has not properly healed.  The resultant tissue would necrify (die).  It can to be done after about 3-6 months of healing when the tissue has properly healed and bonded.

It's doable but the details (posterior commission) need that second surgery because of the way things heal and pressure from dilation. Most one stage surgeons figured it out but swelling is going to prevent you from seeing the details for a couple weeks.

What you're describing is now typically referred to as a "one-stage procedure," and most major surgeons at least *advertise* that they do it. The "plain hole" version was the very basic method being used decades ago; even modern two-stage procedures provide the labia majora. In fact, it'd be impossible to DO the second stage (without skin grafting from another location) unless some tissue were rearranged but left in place with blood supply, to provide the material for later refining.

I can confirm from direct experience that Brassard produces labia minora and clitoral hooding - he even uses excess urethral tissue so that the labia minora are pink and mucosal, as in cis women. I don't know what method he's using (the darned operating notes were in French!), but the results involve very clearly delineated inner and outer lips, though the labia minora are on the small/"neat" side compared to some cis variations. I've also seen photos of a friend who went to Rumer and equally had a one-stage procedure that created labia majora and minora as well as minimal clitoral hooding.

It's true about the swelling, though. "Details" didn't show up for months, on the one I was observing.

I went to Marci Bowers and ended up with both sets of labia on one try, and my gynecologist thinks it looks great, and at 6 months is well healed on the outside. It was about 3 weeks to get the swelling down and dilation resonably comfortable, but I was able to see my anatomy quite well the day the packing and catheter were removed, although they did not have the best color.  Bowers uses tissue from the inside lining of the urethra for the labia minora and both scrotal and penile skin for the vaginal canal. Clitoris came from penile glans, and the clitoral hood also from part of the penile root. I have a small amount of self lubrication since the urethral lining is a mucous tissue. 6.5 inches of depth and 1.5 inches of diameter.  The labia majora come naturally from the fact that the penis and scrotum actually hang in front of a cavity, and when the testes are gone, there is skin to go into the lining of it.

Dr. Brassard in Canada, and some of the Thai surgeons use a one surgery technique as well, so you can do one stop shopping for the surgery these days. Some of their satisfied customers may be posting here shortly.

Dr. Suporn in Thailand does a very complicated one surgery method that uses just about everything other than the Testes, but internal healing takes longer, but the good results are fantastic.

I also went to McGinn, earlier this year, and have both labia majora and labia minora (inner + outer) and a hooded clitoris. 1 step procedure. No additional labiaplasty. Perhaps her technique has changed?

My personal doc, bf, and several cis-female friends who have seen the results were all impressed and said it most definitely passes muster and falls in range. And according to most that have seen it, they say it looks better than most female-at-birth cis-females vaginas.

What you have to start with anatomically speaking, and the orientation of all structures of the human body, can and do vary greatly from one person to the next, so it really is a big YMMV sort of thing IMHE.

I attended a talk by Dr. Kathy Rumer at the Philadelphia Trans Health conference. She also does a 1-step procedure which she claims has all the parts.

Some replies are plain wrong. Dr Suporn does a one stage procedure out of Chonburi, Thailand. He made the "hole" (neovagina), as well as proper outer AND inner labia in a single stage, using about 550 stitches and 6 hours under. I have the proof, but if I showed you, I'd have to .... anyway, it looks pretty much indistinguishable from my cisfemale partner's equipment, and works well, too.
