I just moved to LA (blog to follow tmrw) and I got to thinking that I've moved more in the last year than I ever have. I'm used to residential stability and getting my mail in one place, lol, but no more. My answer is...3 times in the last year, so a total of 3 times in the last five years. How about you? Inquiring minds want to know

Congrats on the move, I hope you like it there.

There have been times where I didn't even get unpacked. 4 times in the last 5 years and probably doing it again within a year or two, as soon as the housing market turns around a bit. Luckily where I am it has not been hit as hard as other places. I am looking to head back to Cali, but probably North instead of South.

Moved from a house to a house, from a house to a travel trailer.  It is amassing how much junk one can acquire.

I hope you are enjoying LA, Meghan.

I moved around "a lot" for a while, because I was renting, and constantly changing jobs.  I've been here for just over five years now, because I bought instead of rented.  :)  Let's see, though, I lived in one place for almost 3 years, then 2 years, then about 1 year, then 1.5 years, then 9 months, then 5 years...  That's 6 places in about 12 years.  :)

Only once in the last 8.

But I've moved a total of 17 times in my entire life. Which feels like a lot.

Might explain why I tend not to form attachments to buildings. I had to move too often to start to like them too much. And I've never owned one, nor am I likely ever to afford to.

I'm moving for the 3rd time in a year. I didn't plan on it but it happens. It's stressful for me right now while I'm transitioning and I wish I just had somewhere stable already..

It's good to be able to retain ability to move... I had more than 12 addresses I lived in the past 10 years. A lot of fun for background check papers. I wish you to find a place where you are happy

I've moved once in the past 5 years, in November 2016. But I only moved about 200 meters and still live in the same neighbourhood, so it wasn't a huge change. I want to move much farther, but it's not possible now and for a long time. Hopefully I will be able to in another 5-10 years or so.
