Discrimination against gays in employment and housing would be illegal in Pennsylvania under legislation Democratic Rep. Dan Frankel will introduce today.

It also would prevent discrimination based on gender.

"A majority of Americans now live in one of the 20 states that ban employment discrimination based on sexual orientation," said Frankel, of Squirrel Hill. Three of Pennsylvania's neighbors -- Maryland, New Jersey and New York -- ban anti-gay discrimination, he said.
