So I sat on the phone number for a week before finally getting the nerve to send her my contact information.  She promptly called the next day and we talked for about 20 minutes or so. She asked why I chose her when I live 2 hours away and I told her if I'm going to do this I wanted it to be with a specialist that has experience in this field. Of course she agreed and asked a few more questions which I answered. Hope I can keep the nerve up and follow thru with this appointment in two weeks!  I am interested to see what she has to say.

Well done, hon. That's a big step. *hugs* And shows that you can do things that you're nervous about.

You should feel proud of yourself. :)

Thank you Sephirah...I backed out of therapy about 5 years ago. I had no problems talking over the phone but when it came time to meet I was just too nervous. The feelings are stronger this time around though so my confidence is a lit higher

Congratulations on taking your first big step. :)

After the phone call, your first session will most likely be the most nerve-wracking experience you'll have when it comes to therapy. Once you get to know her, you'll find out that you were worried about nothing.
