Glora Femboy

My name is John  (aka Glora, or Glora Femboy). I am 16 years old, and I live in a closeminded town named GLoversville. I want to crossdress all the time, but my parents do not accept it, they have a problem with me wearing mascara and even nail polish, so I have to buy make up and wear my Gf's clothes behind their backs, I don't know what to do. I was thinking about keeping it low until I turn 18 and possibly get my own place. I am going to get a job this summer, I want to move out as soon as possible, because as I live with my parents, I will not be happy with myself. The pain of wanting to be yourself, and not being able to do so, is just horrible. My GF supports me 100% on this, but things are still hard. I have went to a local concert and even school whilst crossdressing, my parents know I like to do it, but they do not accept it, although they now let me do masacara and polish, they fear for my safety, what would you suggest?

Any help will be appreciated. :)

Hello Glora,

Welcome to Susan's.  I understand why your parents are afraid for your safety. You must be very careful where you go, and go with friends instead of going out alone. Pay attention to some of the postings here about those that have been assaulted and worse.  I find most people who do not approve, do not understand. I would suggest you try to explain exactly how you feel and how important it is to you. You can also find articles that deal with the way you feel and present them to your parents.

It is great that you can start expressing yourself at a young age.

Hi Gloria,

QuoteI want to crossdress all the time,

I remember having those feelings at your age. But, I was totaly alone...no girlfriend and no Susans.org to visit. I know that it seems so far away before you are 18 and able to move out, but its not that far away....and you will be free soon.

I know it's hard, but my advice is to mellow out. You have your whole life ahead of you...so just relax and enjoy your teen years at home, the best you can. It sounds to me you have alot goin on as it is :) Maybe vent some of your femme feelings here at susans and you will learn more about yourself and mature into your honest self :)

Good luck my young sis

Thanks. I tried to tell my parents a little about crossdressing and about myself, but it seemed like they didn't really listen. All my dad had to say was "It's wrong."

It's a lot for your folks to take in. Don't expect miracles. Just take the time and give them time to take it all in. In other words take it slow and don't push. The more they learn the better your chance of having them accept the real you. First reactions can be very pleasant or very harsh. Sounds like you got a middle ground. That's good lots of room for forward progression.
