I asked them, and at first they didnt know, but eventually they gave me two names they thought about and were high on their list (unsure whether it was on top tho), namely Joris and Berend (:I menotlike)
Joris is a nice name, and I considered it, but it doesnt fit me. And Berend... just dont talk about that one,  okay? Lol.

My first and middle names would have been Benjamin Howard or vice versa. They're the names of my paternal and maternal grandfathers, respectively. Part of the reason I chose the name Ben was to honor my grandfather's memory, as well as to keep a part of my family heritage in the name since I may change the last name (not sure on that part yet).

Be weird. Be random. Be who you are. Because you never know who would love the person you hide.

Lo

I was going to be a Cameron if I came out a boy. Not a bad name!

If I had come out anatomically correct for how I see myself being, I'm sure my parents would have screamed and demanded corrective surgery on the spot!

I would have been a Michael. I'm not really a fan of the name so I guess in that one small way, it's a good thing I'm not named Michael.

I would have been named Karen and I would definitely choose that name if it wasn't for the fact that I have a sister who took that name, boo... XD

Simon

I would have been Shane or Cody with the middle name of Lee. My dad didn't tell me until after I already had my name changed to Simon. If I would have known before I probably would be Shane now.

I asked (woulda loved to be a fly on the wall for that little conversation, but apparently mom was quite open about it) I would've been John  (the masculine for my birth name).

(note: "Harry, we do not speak her name." LOL)

i would've been named Nathan. And since my mom has said this about 100 times since I officially came out to her (she was there for the doubting part too) and I like it as well I'm using it for now. Although I like Nathaniel too.

My mother would have named me Alessandra, which is what I ended up going by.
Why do I always write such incredibly long posts?

I would have been called Gordon. I don't hate the name, but I like the one I picked better.

I've been told either Katherine or Kerry.  Katherine is a family name and my mom loves the name Kerry.

I don't know.  I have no intentions of asking since that would be a dead givaway that I'm trans given my circumstances.  I do know I was originally to be named Ebony though.

These posts are great! Some are really entertaining!!

When I used to do my studies with early childhood education some years ago, I was observing this one boy who had a Chinese name. One day, he knew that I was also changing my name, and because he just didn't like his name anymore, he decided, at 5 years old, to be named 'Gordon' (after the trains, I suppose!).

Funnily enough, my parents and I both came up with Robert Dean [last name], though they planned on calling me Rob. since Robert is my dads name, I decided I'd go by my middle name instead.

I actually asked my mother this awhile back. She wouldn't tell me as she's been "questioning" things with my identity as of late, so she "doesn't want to give me any ideas". My dad said I probably would've gotten the name my brother didn't get, which was Matthew or Timothy. (Which would've been ridiculous as my wife's old name was Timothy.) I'm not really fond of either of them honestly but I'm not fond of my female name either.
Yours truly,

Tobias.

Had I been born anatomically correct, my name would have been Brian George.  Because I wasn't, my younger brother was named Brian George instead.  Lucky me.   >:-)

Brian is my biological father's first name & in his family, they address each other by middle name.  I can't see myself as a George.   :o

CursedFireDean, there must be something to that combination.  Both my legal father & his best friend are Robert Dean (last name).
