I've been curious as to how long it takes for the scars to turn white.

I'm healing well and my scars are light pink, I was wondering if some guys would be willing to post or PM before and after pictures of their chests. Guys who are "totally" healed, white scars, and post how long you have been post op

I would start with my pics, but its only been 2 months for me.

suppose I could try transbucket too?

I think it depends on the person. I had my surgery in May and some parts of my scars are already going white. Theres a bit of pink surrounding the scars but the scars themselves are going white already. Really just depends. I scar SUPER easily (If I get a bug bite, I scar, if I get scratched by a cat, I scar, if I get a cut, I scar, it's ridiculous...) but my scars tend to go white very fast. So I would say it just depends. If it helps at all, I take B12 supplements and Vitamin C pills and was instructed to take the vitamin c pills starting two months prior to surgery. Dunno if it helped with anything but yeah. I also use this stuff called Bio Oil on my scars along with shea butters and moisturizers every now and then (mostly on my nipples to keep them from becoming dry). Hope that helps a bit? As a side note I ended up with stretch marks from the swelling, and those ARE still red.

Transbucket is good. I've seen some people with white scars on there. I would assume it would take at least a year if not more. Sorry, I'm still pre-op. I know this post was made for post op people.

Thought i'd just add that since I last posted my scars are completely white now, there is no pinkness or redness anywhere where the stitches were (around my nipples and the main scars) and the stretch marks are beginning to fade now too. Just give it time =)

I'd guess it is over a year perhaps two or more.
