I am going to be disabling the yearly subscription options on the 1st of the month, those who have a yearly subscription by then won't have to worry about it for their full year.
I have been thinking about it and while the yearly subscription option is certainly convenient for the members and has been a great thing for a quick cash infusion (which has helped more than any of you can know), it is terrible for long term budgeting which is the most important thing to assuring the long term stability of the site.
It's important that I know that I have a specific amount coming in each month which allows me to allocate funds to spend on projects that needs to be done, and to plan how much money I personally need to set aside to meet any funding short falls.
If you need to pay for an extended period, I will make case by case arrangements for those in a situation that prohibits them from using the monthly option, but I expect these exceptions to be relatively rare.
I also want to give a very big thank you to all those who have donated or subscribed so far!
