Allow me to kiss your toes.

But the pipe. A carnival-glass one? A churchwarden? A briar? One of those classic meershuams carved into a lion's head, or better yet, a busty naked lady?

Allow me to nuzzle your knuckles for that important point.

I think simple porcelin with a long stem...with the naked woman one for special occassions. (This is after all, a lounging Kimono).

I have a couple nice skirts, I wear them sometimes, but only if I can dress them down. But FWIW, I'm 24, and I haven't seen one of my girl friends wear a skirt since middle school.  This is exempting like a dressy skirt, for a special occasion.  I'm talking like day to day, in general everyone I know just wears jeans and a cute top.  Which is fine by me, because I'm addicted to jeans too.

I'm 29 and I tend to wear skirts more often than not.  Today happens to be one of those days I am not.  I work in a pretty big city (Portland, OR) and many women wear skirts there.  So I blend right in and nobody seems to have any objection with me wearing them.

Nope. And not even going to try to kiss my own toes.

I've gone to class in a skirt many times.  Does that count for anything?

Most youngish women in the UK seem to wear jeans, slacks, or trousers most times .... skirts only to work in an office or shop, or for a "night out", or casually if the weather's really, really hot.

Exception is teens who flount their bodies in micro minis (with opaque tights or leggings in hostile weather).

Go into town on a Saturday and no-one between the ages of 20 - 50 seems to be wearing a skirt !  I'd feel so overdressed wearing one ....

Personally I feel tight jeans or trousers flatter my figure far better than skirts .... just feel sooo much more sexy in them !

In warmer weather I go for the cropped variety revealing my lower legs in a really flattering way.

Longish skirts just scream "I'm fat .... I've got something to hide !", and I'm too old for minis, though I'm beggining to feel OK with this seasons tunic tops and leggings  :) .

Last year's ethnic patterned flouncy long skirts just turn me cold .... how did we think we ever looked good in those ?

My own skirt wearing tends to be a "winter thing", for the office and post-work drinks / dinners, with just above the knee smart tailored skirts, patterned or plain tights (sheer or thick if its cold), and high boots - really sexy  ;) !

Laura, in London I saw quite of bit of skirts in October (not just by teens)! The weather was quite warm though.

In Montreal, half the women wear skirts during the summer month downtown (20-30 wear shorts or capris), less in the peripheral, neighborhoods (people wear more shorts there).

When its warm and humid during the summer, jeans or pants kinda suck.

Nobody wears hoses obviously during the summer.

Most people here wear jeans summer and winter. Even when I go to the mall I see jeans on most everyone. Now you do see the short mini on teens that are trying to show off. I have some of them but they are very hard to sit lady like in. They are ok for walking or to use as a cover for a swim suit.
As far as what I wear, you will usually see me in jeans. When going out on the town I wear short dresses.

I heard of a survey amongst women where they stated that most women dont feel confident enough with the look and shape of their legs to be comfortable wearing skirts. Its only the few and confident that seem to be able to pull it off so to speak.
Personally I agree! Weather really has not much to do with it. You can always wear stockings!

I don't like them much either.  Black jeans are OK, but blue jeans just look ugly to me, so I never wear them.

Ive been thinking about how much I like skirts and I thought yeah skirts are better for summer and warmer months. Stockings are a pain yeah so jeans are best when your not up to wearing a skirt. weather effects your skin I know. And if your cold and uncomfortable in a skirt its not good. Personally I love jeans and a hoodie. But a skirt and a nice short sleeve shirt and jacket always looks cool if done right. Well you dont have to have the jacket.
So I sought of contradict myself on things. Earlier I said weather has nothing really to do with it. But it does sometimes. Depends on fashion as well. And look at all those school girls in uniform. They have to wear skirts pretty much all through winter.

Jeans are comfy, non restricting, and slobable, same with cargo pants and shorts, easy to whip down for the loo. skirts are even faster for the loo :P specially the lenght i wear sometimes, although i hate the loo when wearing tights, its a pita...
personally im a trousers fan, but as my legs get better, im more open, im certainly not one of the 'ew trousers never again' ->-bleeped-<-s.
also my GIC requires a skirt or dress to show your putting 'effort' into your transition *s->-bleeped-<-s*

I've posted in this before and like I said Skirts here in Australia are huge with girls aged 12 to 30ish.

I wear one most of the time. If it's cold I bear it if its too cold jeans are my friend ;)

I'll say that I wear a skirt maybe 75% of the time
Yes! I'm single
And you'll have to be pretty f'ing amazing to change that
