Another sign of the girl in me.

I get so self conscious about my looks like girls do. My hair, skin, my nails and my weight not to mention the little hair thinning, facial hair I hate and the jaw adjustment I want. Very like a girl , oh I'm ugly or if someone says my hair is nice, I am flattered but I still get all insecure many times. This btw isn't appearance stuff but I gossip a whole lot. Not a guy thing.

Not saying you are any less of a girl but multiple studies have shown that men spend more time gossiping than women do and men are self conscious about their looks just as much as women.
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

I was at my local singing group yesterday and we were told about an event at the local church.  They are inviting all singers to join them.  My first thought was "That sounds like fun", and my second was "What should I wear?"  Before transition my dress sense was "First tee-shirt off the pile" so I have come a long way.

Just be yourself and know you are a worthwhile person.  The insecurity is a big problem but you can overcome it, with a lot of work.

Okay, I'll share this.

I was getting my hair done today when I sat there looking at my reflection. Normally, I get very uncomfortable doing that, because I just look... wrong. As I'm looking this time, I start seeing myself as female. I start thinking things like "Big thighs, flat chest"... basically typical girl things. The difference? I didn't feel helpless or anxious, like I do when I see a male. I think instead "Well, there I am."

Hope this helps.

Tbh I think it's tricky trying to determine if your true gender based on gender stereotypes. The way I confirm mine is by thinking deep down, what do I want to be? When I look in the mirror I want it to be a young woman, not a young man.
Farewell to my friends, farewell to the life I knew. I burn what once was, and in the ashes I am born anew.

I partially agree.  Except the question I ask is "who am I" rather than "what do I want to be."  I guess if you are truly looking deep down for most people its probably the same question as most people I would think want to be who they truly are
