Lanky

[I signed up a little while back but never had the time or balls to actually post anything, until a nice little somebody sent me a message about it. Honestly, I thought nobody would acknkowledge me since I was hiding like a big weenie.]

So hello, i'm Lanky~ (Karl or Kerry if you like human names)
21/AZ, FtM (kind of blurry with the gender stuff i guess?)
I tried to network in other LGBT forums/meetup communities... it was cartoon-level awkward and I was very out of place, so haven't pursued support since.

Some of the most helpful information I've ever gotten was through this forum sooooo~

You big weenie

Lanky; as you are tall? That used to be my nickname in school.

I find it interesting you felt out of place on LGBT forums. Perhaps there just were not many trans* people?

Anyway, welcome to the forum, dude =]

I vote new staff position for Jeebus, Official Greeter, lol
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

Well I'm not all that lanky (I'm 5'6 which is "tall" for the average female), it's more of just a silly nickname I used on some sites that stuck well.
And yes, all the LGBT communities in my area (and forums) were about 70% gay men, 29.9% lesbian and the .1 left is MtF transsexuals.

I'm sensing a theme here lol
I second this vote, if it weren't for Jeebus I probably would still be creepin
Also love your avatar CaseyB - I'm kind of a brony, I admit.

Hey Lanky welcome to Susans

My advice is to jump into conversations. My first post vindicated me with the concept that I might be transgendered, I still have issues but I feel better and honestly feel more open on the susans site. To be honest I am normally a hateful and spiteful person but on susans I have (hopefully ) only been negative to myself. I am normally a closed and private person but I have fully come out to one of the people here (in a pm) and I have revealed more about myself here then I have ever admitted to myself before now to anyone and every one on this site. Posting here has actually made me smile for no particular reason for the first time in over 20 years. I have felt nothing but acceptance here and I truly hope that you feel the same way.

BTW this post came after the consumption of the better part of 2 bottles of wine so I am somewhat loquacious (thank what ever diety for spell check) and may not make any sense (tomorrow is going to be really embarrassing)

I'll be sure to keep your advice in mind - i've only just introduced myself today and i'm getting more acknowledgment than i have anywhere else! (at least that was light-hearted and relaxed)
It's okay, i get talky when i drink too. Honestly, thats the least embarrassing thing I think you could say after 2 bottles of wine hah (i know that feeling though, i take medication to sleep so who am i to judge? hahaaa)

I was hoping you were going to say you were 6ft something  I'm 5'11 - I think, not that tall, but at the time I was one of the tallest in my year (In others words, i hit puberty first )

I few LGBT forums and sites I am on have a handful of trans people. I guess you were just on unpopular ones :P

I was actually the tallest one in my class growing up too (my brother is 6'4 is he straightens up his back)
Once I was in middle school I was a little taller than a good chunk of students, then suddenly all my cis-male friends got super tall and buff and all the new girls were 5'4" at MOST.
Talk about some Alice in Wonderland syndrome

Welcome, Lanky Lurker! ;)

I don't know how many heard Jeebus knockin' on their door but he discovered there is a 20 PM-per-minute limit.

:D

I had to pass on my invite, I'd done one before, and deleted it in Nov 2011. Apparently I didn't want people to know much about me, and I'm still that way today....now if you'll excuse me, I have a bedpost to polish. Don't want to get splinters, you know. ;)
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Nice Alice in Wonderland reference, ha.

Hi Lanky, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7006. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.
