I haven't read all the replies, but...

...Ravenna, whatever you do. Don't get hormones from the "black market". You might get something else instead of the real hormones. I have a friend, and her classmate bought from the black market, and ended up in the hospital.

I know how you feel.:/ It's really scaryy. It's like a ticking timebomb.

You think YOU have broad shoudlers? I'd kill for your looks lol:p You actually look really pretty in your avatar.

Like others have said, load up on that spearmint tea!

Don't worry too much, one or two years of waiting are not going to change your results drastically. You'll be still young  ;)

I'm 30 years old, I've been living partime for a year, fulltime since half a year and I started HRT three months ago thinking that I was already too old to get good results. You know what? I was wrong. Being healthy, happy and your genetics matters a lot more than your age... I was already an A cup after two months of HRT, so now I smile thinking who silly I was

In the meantime, try to concentrate on other things about you transition, voice training, body posture, makeup, clothes, maybe you can convince your fathers to start seeing a psychologist using any excuse you can think, feeling depressed, or just showing plain angry, etc (and then work with her/him to get your GID diagnosis ;D). Does your college offer free psychological services?

you can also try to ask or save some money for LHR, that will take time and it's also very important.

I have to agree. The 2-3 years I've been forced to wait have worsened my voice, beard and body hair, and most importantly given me a visible Adam's apple.

about your Adam's Apple, did you lost some weight during that years?
QuoteIt can be the difference of needing to spend $5k (or a lot more) on surgery and not needing to, it's not something to play around with and delay.
after puberty the biggest "damage" is already done.

I did... almost all weight I had very recently put on though. Not to mention I have never in my lifetime reached a degree of obesity sufficient to have noticeable neck fat.

If you want to now the best time to transition, I will tell you. The best time is now. Not tomorrow or the next day. You can't reverse any changes so you can't worry about it. it's pretty obvious it's better to transition when you are younger, this doesn't guarantee results, the same as being 30 doesn't mean you won't get results, but it is certainly better to transition at 20 then 30 if for no other reason then that will be 10 more years spent in the target gender. Yes, obviously there are masculine changes as you age, but many of them can be reversed with HRT and things like laser or other small changes. If you need FFS, chances are you needed FFS at 20.
