Hey Princess, the hairpiece nicely frames your long femme shaped face. Trim your eyebrows. You must have light colored fair facial hair to not have any make up on, I don't see any 5 o'clock shadow. Good starting place for hrt. You already pass Beautifully. You are going to look Great once hormones do their job!

Really nervous to post online, but please give me your completely honest feedback. Don't simply be nice.

Hate to say this but you might be posting in the wrong thread.  I think there's one for "could I pass one day" if that's what you're really asking.
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

I see no reason why you could not present as female.  You are young and handsome - good foundation.  You look to have a bit of a brow ridge.  That's what FFS is for.

If you don't believe anything is possible, look at the "Before & After" topic!

And welcome to the site  :)

EDIT:  Casey, that former topic has been merged to create this one.

It is time to get more serious now. So this is kinda mix between "do I look female" and "do I pass" - I kinda think that I dont, but I would like to know where are my current flaws. I was trying to get more creative, adding fem accessory. I am wearing light foundation and mascara (which You cant see, because I still suck at making pics - yay!). Behold - the flat-chested androgynous bitch! Ooops... I hope that is NOT considered a swearing word :P

Oh oh ... runny nose is ruining my foundation... :P

Yeah, brow ridge could be a giveaway. Othewise... thin down Your eyebrows a bit - make them less unruly :) The purpose is to see how high they are set for You - its kinda impossible to guess at the moment. You deff need to shave more :) Nice eyes and nose, as far as I can see. I cant really get impression about Your chin, but at least it is not the brick-square type. Your jaw looks like it could have a bit of ovalness - which could be good - but I really have no idea if those are bones or muscles on it. If muscles - the HRT will do wonders there to make Your face more narrow one. Nice hair too and it is not receding :). You could be fine with the HRT and some minor FFS.
And I do not see the Adam's apple - which is A BIG bonus /jealous here/  ;)

Ok....here are a few more for further consideration. I could really use some confirmation that I really am trans.

Bad news - You are not going to get that :) Even Your therapist wont give You a definite answer - just questions to lead Your way. This is solely Your journey and Your decision.

Good news - You can expect a lot of encouragement and competent advice. The fact that You officially registered and posted Your pics... it is a kinda giveaway that You most probably are trans. Oh wait... being a trans is not good news. Not at all!
Cheers and hugs :)

As for Your pics (this is the first encouragement here - and pretty competent one ;) )- You probably might need a smallish FFS.. probably. As for the HRT - I cant see why You should not be fine on it. I have seen transition videos on the Youtube where people, who looked vaguely similar to Your type, did just fine.

This is not how everyone feels here ;) I love being trans and was overjoyed when I allowed myself to discover that there was no reason to feel like I am some sort of weirdo.

Natalie- I can't see any glaring issues, but the brow bossing situation may or may not need to be corrected eventually. A lot of that can also turn out to be muscle that goes down with HRT.

As far as encouragement, I would say that we all have to start somewhere. There's just no telling if someone is trans solely based on their looks. Some trans people start off looking naturally comfortable within their gender identity, while some of us start off looking so far into the depths of masculinity that it can make your head spin when you see the before and after! It's amazing how varied the spectrum is.

It is a question you'll ultimately have to answer yourself, just as Emily said. Maybe with a little introduction it would make more or less sense to people and we would be able to offer you some good advice. There is a section on these forums for intros if you are interested in getting some proper feedback on the topic of your trans-ness :)

Emily,
For a flat-chested androgynous B-word person you certainly have a lovely face with very feminine attributes and a healthy looking body to get started with. We know all things are possible nor don't we? Don't be too critical of yourself, it's early!

Was that a very polite way to say "Nope", Shanty? ;)
Or was it "possibly passable"? :) :)

Not at all, just saying that you look nice and have a pretty face already and your body is a good platform for development of female secondary characteristics. You are reading into it a lot deeper than my intent, such a girly thing to do though!

I went to a support group tonight for the first time. It was nice to meet other trans people in person rather than just on the internet. We were talking about being out and I said that I dont know where I am on that, I present how I present, which is like in my pics. They said that I look neither male or female but androgynous. I'm not hyperfeminine, but I think I lean more towards female.
Just got home, here's how I look tonight.

Maybe they were just jealous Michelle. I know I hung out with this trans girl I know last week and she upset me so much that I broke down crying because she kept telling me that I don't pass and I'll never pass and everyone will always know I am trans. But all she cares about is boobs and my BF said she was just jealous as I have a nice bod and I was showing off some cleavage. I bet the same thing happened to you because you def pass and look female, not androgynous. Some trans girls can be so horrid when hanging with their BFF, the green eyed monster. BTW, I lovelovelove Joy Division!

Well you eyebrows look great. You did a good job plucking them and they're a nice, feminine shape. I know you can't do much right now but maybe you could try to fashion your hair into a more feminine style. You might be doing that do hide a possibly receding hairline, but I'm not 100 percent on that. it's not bad and something that can be worked around. As far as your overall face shape, it's not square and seems to be egg-shaped or oval That's good news. I think you have nice facial shape. What you need most though is just more time on HRT. Once the facial fat shifts around a little bit more and you accumulate more time on female hormones I have no doubt you would pass. Maybe you could pass now but you seem to be presenting male in the images and are dressed male so that can really throw off the overall look.

Also, maybe use some more makeup. makeup is a trans girl's best friend as it can really feminize you so much. I know myself when I was at about your mark on HRT I could put on makeup (foundation, blush, eyeliner, smoky eyeshadow, mascara and a teeny but of light pink lipstick) and it really feminized me so much. If you don't want to that's perfectly fine too but it can make a dramatic difference as will more femme clothes. I think you have the mannerisms down and you're confident so I think you're halfway home and though you don't pass in these pictures (presentation, presentation, presentation) I think you will def reach a male fail point in the future. You will def pass and prolly without any need for FFS or anything. I can't see any bossing or dramatically male features. You have a pretty androgynous base so I have high hopes for you. And you're one of the nicest, sweetest people on this forum so you have that going for you too.

Well you are presenting pretty male in these pictures and have quite a bit of early beard growth going on. It's hard to say what else other then what you have been told about the brow bossing but overall i think you have a good foundation to work with. I have seen plenty of girls on YT more masculine then you who turned out totally femme after a year on HRT. I agree with Emily too  no one can tell you you are trans as it is completely self-diagnosed but since you are here and obviously wanting to know if you could pass as female one day that it is pretty good indication you are trans. You could go on HRT and that would tell you right away (within three months) whether or not you are trans. if you hate HRT and its effects, you probably are not trans. There is only one way to find out, TBH.

BTW, if nothing else, as a guy you are totally hot! And hot guys make hot girls!

Actually, being trans would be great news! It would explain decades of confusion and give me a path forward of hope and excitement.

If the thought of being female appeals more to you than being male, good news!  This is going to sound weird, but just follow what feels right to you.  There's no need to label yourself if you just accept that life has no predetermined path, and deeper self-analysis is only going to add confusion and, eventually, doubt.

Thank you! All of this response is so much appreciated. And I admit that it's a fair point. The fact that I'm at a point where I was willing to post a bunch of pictures of myself here probably says something.

Stella Stanhope

Hello everyone, I find topics like these quite uplifting, and I'm amazed that there seems to be such genuine concern & so many helpful comments, especially in a time when internet forums can be filled with lots of trolls and troublemakers. I just though I'd say this, as I'm genuinely impressed.

Anywho, I thought I'd post on this forum as despite being currently Androgyne - I acknowledge that I would faaaaaar prefer looking female than male. I've preferred to look female since I was 13, however I was too frightened to explore that wish and what it might mean until recently. Annie whey, this is me right now - My features tend to look VERY different in different lights, hence the different photos. No hormones or intervention. There's no processing on these photos. There's a light powder on my skin for the first three shots, eyeliner and I've shaved as close as I can.

What are your thoughts please? Thanks for your time btw!
There are no more barriers to cross... But even after admitting this, there is no catharsis... I gain no deeper knowledge of myself. No new knowledge can be extracted from my telling. This confession has meant nothing.

When you find yourself hopelessly stuck between the floors of gender - you make yourself at home in the lift.
