Sorry Chris, you don't cut it as a boy. You have a female shape, and female face and may have a slightly masculine jaw line, but nothing noteworthy. Sorry to disappoint you but you would be a total flop as a boy under any circumstances.

Wow.  Sara, you actually bear strong resemblance to one of my female facebook friends that I have never met.  She was a friend of a friend who was supportive of my transition and posts MANY pictures of herself.  For a few minutes I was trying to figure out if you were the same person, because you look VERY similar to her, and even have the same name!!!  I have never doubted her female gender at all, and the fact that I wasn't sure if you were her or not speaks volumes.

The only thing that looks odd about your picture is your puffy hair, but otherwise I would have thought you were my female friend (who also has short hair but in a pixie cut).

You pass 100% and remind me a lot of Chell from Portal in your photo, partially because of the orange shirt and dark hair. Don't worry, you look 100% female.

        You have a nice face to start with. We all need to consider our face to be like an artists a palate, you have a good basic palate to begin with. Your jaw has a masculine set to it and your nose could use some work. I like your eyebrows, you will be able to do things with them. You look darling in the photo with the wig. Not being as good at these critiques as many here, I'll leave the finer points up to them.

You're cute Emily, the frontal facial shot isn't enough to go on, you should give us a profile shot as well. But you seem to have delicate features, slender neck though I suspect that the schnoz could use some fine tuning. if you submit more photos and a profile shot, give us some smiles so we can see more of the girl and less of the serious guy looking at us.

Chris - you are lucky - you can probably pull of what many cannot, especially after some more HRT - you will be able to dress as a boy and still be gendered female. Thats pretty cool. I agree that this one pic looks a bit androgynous though, but the rest - i woul dhave a hard time gendering you male in any of them even if I try

EmilieGlass. You look to me still androgynous in the pictures which is a good start if you have not had HRT yet. You have very female facial features, especially the lips stand out as a great feature - you can tip the balance a bit i think by plucking eyebrows. I like the haircut and the outfit. You are slim and can go a bit crazy on the fashion side if you like - You will do fine!

So.. I nerved up to go to the city center a couple of times 'en femme', thinking to do some shopping.. but I always chicken out and go home after buying something minor lol ^_^ I feel so self conscious, but surprisingly I haven't really noticed getting any stares or whispers... I guess people are generally polite enough to mind their own business.

So anyway, I took a bunch of pictures, trying to see how others see me (ignore the too-visible beard shadow, pictures were taken a good 8+ hours after shaving and doing the make up)... still not on HRT yet, so I'm obviously not going to win any beauty awards.. but if I can be taken as 'just another girl doing her thing', i'll be more than happy.

Anyway, picked out a couple I liked, would love any feedback.. I know I have a -lot- to learn when it comes to clothes and accessories, so please comment on anything you want!

I think you're gorgeous.  Your hair (wig?) isn't sitting naturally on your head.  Not sure how to fix it, sorry.  Anyways, yeah, you might be right about not winning a beauty award, don't know why you would want to, who judges those things anyways?  If I was the judge, you'd have a pretty good chance of winning.
