Riversong, I am getting the female vibe from Your pics - especially the first one, where You are smiling :). Relax - smiling will come easier the longer You will be on the HRT :) - it wont be a forced attempt anymore :). In the last pic I am picking something up too, but You seem overally startled in that one which throws in wrong accents. But, in general, You are doing just fine and You only need more time on female hormones.

Very cute!

As is often the case, have your nose done and you will look 100% IMO.

Hideyoshi - I cant really understand why are You posting in this thread. IMO, You should only post in Before/After or Fabulous thread.
I mean, there are no doubts that You pass and look like female :)

Alright, you're probably worried about the nose, right? Trust me, you look great. It doesn't make you look male, there's too much other stuff going on. I rather like the aquiline nose as a feature, but it takes a certain kind of face to pull it off. Baseline, if you want to change it, that's your prerogative.

Now, you go on and get out of here! Go to the Fabulous thread, you silly girl!

Yes I've seen many photos of you here, and you definitely pass time to move on to the fabulous thread ;)

She looks very good, but I'd spot her in a minute because of the nose. Even if I thought it was a cisgender woman with a prominent nose, that attracts attention and makes people wonder.

I've said it before, but the usual thing I see that makes me think it's not a cisgender female is the nose. This is no exception. She looks like a feminine looking guy.

The rest of her face is adorable, and I love the bangs. :) Bangs make everyone cuter.

Your point is valid, and I think everyone here would agree having her nose done would seal the deal for sure. But the point some of us are trying to make is that plastic surgery can correct anyone's flaws. Yes she has a prominent nose but so do many cis woman, and with her looks, unless it really bothers her, doesn't need to go to the extremes of plastic surgery like some others do

I understand that. But the question here is "do I pass as a female?"  That implies would anyone spot her as a transgendered woman. I'm saying yes, I would spot her. I would also spot you and myself too, and a lot of other girls here. So this isn't about "am I attractive," it's more about would you pass 100%. I wouldn't call it a flaw, I would call it something that detracts from looking female.

The gender markers that generally need work are the nose, jawline and brow. Do some women have large noses? Yeah, they do. Do they look good with large noses? Not usually. If that's the only male like feature on the face, then you might get away with it. That is the case here, and she has a cute face, but maybe I'm just more sensitive to looking at faces.

I'm just using the question "Do I Look, or Could I Pass, as Female?" and not making a comment on attractiveness. She's attractive. So are you. But do we look like women? People say I'm attractive too. But in real life I don't pass. On Halloween I had on what you see in my profile pic. I look OK there, but one of the guys in my band said I should leave on the flu mask because I looked more feminine that way! So the problem was my nose. This was a guy who knows nothing about me being transgendered and only knows I did not look like a female to him as a straight guy. Here, we expect that everyone is trans. In the real world people don't. There are different expectations. And that was Halloween, where there is another set of expectations.

This is meant to be good natured, honest constructive criticism. I would want someone to do the same with me. :)

I think what we want to avoid at all cost is looking like Jamie Farr in drag on M.A.S.H. lol  Luckily most people's noses are not that large.

Re noses, If anyone saw the M*A*S*H tv series think Klinger played by actor Jamie Farr from an interview I know he was sensitive about the big shnozola and I am about mine), my Mom had his nose & I inherited it. My Dad had an aquiline nose, I wish I had that & would prefer to have that when I get in femme mode. I didn't see any mention from Hideyoshi's post about her nose. Hideyoshi, your nose looks fine. The nose knows.

I wasn't implying that you were judging her harshly, just that you already stated your opinion about her nose already. I didn't think because people complimented her after your post that you had to reiterate your opinion again, as it wasn't a debate, just difference in opinion.

I understand that this thread is to be 100% honest and you were, and that is fine.

Just clarifying my thoughts, and am dropping it as it's not that big of a deal, just trying to explain myself  not create an argument ;)

Hmm, after sleeping on it and looking at the picture again, the shadow from my hair at the top of the nose makes it look like it has a bump to it at the top.  It doesn't.

I know my nose is big, but I'm not overly concerned about it.  I can't afford the two and a half kidneys for the hippopotamusplasty, so I have to deal with it now

sorry for causing a ruckus lol I'll slither back into my hole >.<

Maybe someone can comment on my post......

Without hormones, no. With hormones, very much so. You have rounded features which will mellow out on HRT nicely.

One thing that will help right away is to pluck your eyebrows and grow your hair out.
Be the change you want to be :)

I commented on yours (in case you didn't see it).To add to it though I just want to say that in my opinion, contrary to conventional wisdom, it helps not to factor your hair too heavily into the passability equation. Reason being your face is the important thing, it's the thing people will be looking at, and a passable face with long hair is still passable without long hair, and an unpassable face without long hair is still unpassable with long hair. So hair really isn't as important as you may think. Of course, it does help and you definitely want to grow it to a typical female length.

That said, with an eyebrow trim I think you have a pretty passable face already :)

You are cute, and have a nice face. Can I have your lips? lol  I can see where the angle of the photo might cause you to look different.

I meant no offense, I'm just giving my opinion on an area that folks here often seem to gloss over.

You don't need two kidneys for rhinoplasty. One would be more than enough!  ;D  And believe me, I looked into the legalities of selling kidneys! lol No such luck.  :-\

I agree in many ways with RavenMoon, please stop giving her a hard time. Transition is f*ing hard, we all know that, and yes it's nice to hear compliments from people to bolster yourself against the crap that could come your way throughout the day in regards to one's passability. At the end of the day though, i at least came to this thread with the question of Do I or could I pass as female? And i for one would like to hear honest opinions because quite frankly i am not comfortable at this point calling out the next person on the tube who decides to stare me out, and asking them what they see.

Maybe we should start another thread with a title along the lines of photos to share with the community. The you look fabulous thread seems a little too daunting to me, and i have this assumption that i must pass first in order to post there, as if it's a promotion.

I get clocked sooooooo many times throughout the day each day, and whilst i really appreciate people's kind comments to my photos, balanced opinions would be appreciated. I actually refrain from posting at the moment on some threads because i don't want to hurt people's feelings and be the only posting what seemingly is a negative comment and being jumped upon.
