Trans Woman Kristin Beck Planning 2016 Congressional Run

Kristin Beck is contemplating a bid to become the first transsexual to sit in Congress... Beck has stated that she is planning a run for the 14th Congressional Seat in Florida. This could be the one currently held by Democrat Kathy Castor. It covers Beck's hometown of Tampa.

Beck is a former Navy SEAL who came out as trans in her book "Warrior Princess". She is planning to run as a Democrat, but not until 2015. So, she would be running for Congress in 2016.

Beck is currently writing her second memoir with her friend Wendy Kelly. This second memoir covers more of her life than "Warrior Princess", which covered her life as an in-the-closet trans woman while she was with the SEALS.
