new law Germany gets gender neutral birth certificate

So far your either born male or female and being registered that way but to November a new law will take place who makes it posible to be registered male-female or X. this law is made with intersex people in mind.

the person can in the future become male or female, or stay X in the registration, however if the person stay X there can be trouble since german do not have same sex marrige it could be difficult to get marrige if your neither register male nor female. as well as traveling with X can be troublesome in some areas.

That law may be a step in the right direction. It does seem to leave the choice to the parents. Personally, they can just leave it off until a person is older but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

No i'm Danish-Norwegian
but I been there and understand some of the languarge not enough for a proper translation thou, so im happy they made an english artical as well.

I just posted it on politic and the intersex forum cause I thought people would be interesteed in it.

For me I think its a step in the right dirrection but im abit nervous how it would be handle, for people who get X and then change to male or female, if they will make strick requrements for surgery or something to do that?

So far its not only germany who has X in the passport, so if you go to Australia or Denmark ex who also got X there probably won't be any problems.
I don't have X myself so i'm not sure exactly but I belive the trouble mostly refers to if your going to anti-glbt countrys.
