1. Be sure to spend at least 12 hours daily untucked. Night time is great for this. If you tuck at work, give your parts the weekend off for the most part.
2. Make sure the underwear closest to your skin has no seams and can absorb moisture.
3. Make sure what you use for additional compression, (support panty, gaffe, hosiery, etc) does not bind or put a seam in a tender area, and is not so tight that it causes redness, swelling, or loss of circulation.
4. Use an antiperspirant in the area that you will be tucking into.
5. Completely untuck each time you use the restroom and make sure you aren't getting any pressure or friction blisters starting. This means you are overstretched, have a pinch point, or have a seam. Adjust immediately if you are getting a raised or discolored area of skin.
6. If you are using a heavy duty compression method (tape or some heavy gaffes) because you are pre-HRT or especially well endowed or wearing risky clothing, do not stay tucked for more than 4 hours at a time.
7. Listen to your body. You are a woman, so those are a woman's parts. And they are delicate and beautiful. Even if they don't yet look the way you intend them to. You want to take good care of all your parts. Its a way of showing love and respect for yourself. And preserving good nerve connections for your future. Tucking should never cause pain, numbness, or tingling. When it does, adjust immediately.
8. Wear clothes that don't require perfect tucking. Especially if your skin needs a rest.
9. Some people swear by non-talc powder. Others by the runner's lube stick that keeps runners' thighs from chafing. If friction is your problem, consider these options; also don't tuck your lady bit so far back that it stretches every time you move or step.
10. Take a close look at how women look down there in clothes (photo is most discrete way). You'll notice that many women are bumped down there, with a cleft showing in the middle of the bump only if clothes are too tight. To tuck successfully, you don't have to make your girl mound disappear, just make the shape not look typically male.
