I had an endocrinologist appointment at 8 AM this morning!  I somehow had enough time to shower and eat breakfast before leaving and I even managed to show up on time :).  The doctor answered all my questions and even recommended me to a sperm bank so I can make a ... deposit ... before I start anything.  I was expecting the blood-work order to get a baseline of where my hormone levels are at now.  I wasn't expecting to leave with a prescription!

I'm not allowed to start anything until I learn the blood-work results and after paying a visit the bank.  I'm okay with that, I still feel like things are still moving forward and that has me excited :)

My only disappointment is that he couldn't find any information about interactions between hormones and Crohn's disease.  That has me a little scared, but I'll just be extra careful with how my insides feel and hope for the best.  Maybe my endo  and my G.I. doctor can write a paper about me together? :P

Yay Anna! That's so cool. My first endo appointment was last October and I really hit it off with her. Sounds like you're off to a great start as well :)

Definitely!  I think I want a slightly later appointment next time... but he doesn't need to see me again until a few months after I start.

Congratulations, Anna! How long do you have to wait for the test results to come back now? If it were me, the wait would be excruciating. My first appointment is on the 11th and I'm hoping I just might get my prescription.
I did my waiting! Twelve years of it! In [my head!] Azkaban!

They called this afternoon,  but I didn't notice the voice mail until after the office closed.  I'm going to call in the morning to find out.

Good luck with your appointment!

They didn't tell me levels, but the doctor said I'm good to start whenever I'm ready :)

Sounds like you're on a roll!  :) I became very laid back on HRT, it may be of some benefit for you in dealing with Crohn's, one never knows how the body will react to things.

I hope so!  I've never had a flare-up (I'm on a strong immunosuppresant), so I have no idea what would trigger them for me.  I wonder if it's possible for me to be any more laid back... we'll just have to wait and see!

I went from a type A - Chloric personality to type B under the influence of HRT. Type A means (my way or the highway sort of as*hole) It was a quantum change and my spouse likes me so much better now.

I'm doing really, really well!  I've been full time now for 9.5 days, and if I had to pick a single word to describe how it went it would be "seamlessly."  I left work Friday as a guy and was greeted as Anna when I came back Monday morning.

Other highlights from the last few months:
- I'm sleeping better
- I have more self confidence
- I feel happier, and other people keep pointing it out :)

Ditto that! I don't see where she would have any time not passing, she's a doll!

Based on the non-reactions I've seen when out and about, I've decided that people either don't know or don't care.  Either way, I'm happy :)

That's the best attitude to take!
