Now I can finally accept that HRT is noticeable.

I've been on HRT since January of 2012.  A TS friend of mine after about 6 months said she saw the difference.  I couldn't really tell.

Fast forward to last week, a mutual TS friend locally saw me at my friends house at night. I hadn't seen her in over a year.  We're in the yard enjoying a rare breeze (weather here is in the 100's).  No sooner than we greeted, she said "girl! You look different. You're on hormones huh?" She added "you are glowing".

I've lost a few pounds.  I can fit in my skinny jeans now which is great! So I went out Sunday night to play pool.  I got home and still looked put together so to speak.  Anywho, I took off my make up and looked in the mirror.  I could finally see what other see.  I could see a woman looking back at me!  I began to laugh out loud.  Then emotions kicked in and began to cry from pure happiness.

Now I realize that people have to see something different about a "guy" that works as a mechanic looking so feminine. Or, maybe they think that a chick is working on cars?

In closing, I can see how I'm softer around the edges.  I suppose I do "glow".  Estrogen is a wonderful thing.

Congratulations Monica, it sounds like this was a wonderful experience for you.  Hearing things like this just makes me look forward to a day when I get to start down this road as well.

Yeah, all of us have trouble seeing our changes in the mirror because we see that reflection every day.  But almost all your occasional acquaintances can see it, even if they never say anything.

Isn't that awesome?! Yay! So happy for you!

...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Monica, you've always looked like a hot chika to me!

Hi Monica, your experiences are so different from mine (thank goodness). I've been on HRT for nearly 20 years and I haven't noticed a lot of changes. If I pull up a pic of me 20 years ago there's not much difference. I have struggled for years trying to achieve the right fat re-distribution from hormones. Before everyone jumps on the 'blood work' bandwagon, my blood tests come out perfect with almost zero testo and plenty of estrogen level.
