Hi everyone. My name is Eve and I am a female transgender ( male-to-female) . I am a teen and I am going to start hormone blockers on august 27th, I am so excited. I always wanted to be a woman, ever since I was a child, but have never let myself believe that it could happen , until I saw that one movie that changed my life forever : Laurence Anyways by Xavier Dolan. This movie made me ask myself if I wanted to become sad , shy and ashamed of my body as a man, or confident , happy and free as a woman. It made me realise that I couldn't wait anymore, I had to do something. So on May 2013 I talked to my doctor , who follows me for anorexia nervosa for almost a year now, about my desire to change sex. She directly referred me to a clinic at the Montreal Children's Hospital ( I live in Quebec, Canada) and sent a consult request. My first appointment was yesterday, on august 21st, and since my transition had already started on several plans, they've decided to prescribe me hormone blockers directly so that I could start HRT in 3 months or less. I am literally floating on air and never felt so happy . Thanks a lot for reading
