A question about blood work...

I have a friend who is also transitioning(a good bit ahead of me*jealous*) and she had a question.  Does phytoestrogen show up in blood work?

Yes they can be detected but the lab doing the work needs GC/MS access and to be looking for it. Otherwise it will look like simply altered blood values (although not very altered values).

That is not one "They" would routinely look for.  Generally, when it comes to steroids, drug screening only looks for the ILLEGAL ones, and that would be the Anabolics such as DHT (Testosterone)     And as Estrogen and its related compounds are turned out of the liver from different pathways.  As a result, they are not looked for.

Not to worry about that one.

yeah..

it's not going to show up. I'm not sure they can distinguish it with a simple blood test if they were looking for it.
