I used to love art and forgot how theraputic it is. I decided to get back into it and I've just spent the last hour creating this self portrait:

Awesome Joey, it looks just like you, and I can really see your emotions coming through.

Wow. I wish I could draw, but I have no natural talent. Whatsoever. I use words, journaling, as my outlet. I hope that drawing can help to keep you centered. You've gotta have something, and this is a something that you are really good at.

Thank you 😀
Nah I used these inky fine liner pens I got recently, then got a bit carried away and started using felt tips as well. I never usually draw in anything other than black pencil so this was new to me but extremely fun to do.
Cheers Arch!

An hour? I can't draw a reasonable stick figure in an hour! My hangman dude always dies a slow, miserable death! Nice work. Hugs, Devlyn

Well done, I love it! Keep it up...definitely a healthy outlet.
Art has probably saved my life more than once. The perfect way (for me) to get all those painful feelings out in the open...even if I'm the only one to look at it. Before I started my transition I frequently drew myself how I pictured myself in my head: male. Incredibly therapeutic. These days I draw little WWI/WWII characters for a graphic novel or occasionally dinosaurs and other random things (see avatar, hehe), still good therapy though. Anything to get those feelings out from inside and into the open.
