So I often have homework for therapy. This week's is to come up with a small 'ritual' or sorts that Amy does. Something no one would notice. It can be something I do by myself, with my wife, during therapy, anything. The purpose of it is to sort of mark that I've passed my first several steps of transitioning (I've come to terms with being trans, have come out to several close friends as well as my wife, and have started shaving my legs!) and am ready to slowly enter a new phase of my life.
I'm thinking I may start writing in a diary once a day. Part of me wants to say that that's silly for a woman in her early 30s to do as that sounds more like something a teenager does. But I think this would help me both organize my thoughts, as well as monitor my progress (...or lack there of). Just the same ... I'm honestly not sure this is what she means, or if it's enough. Then again, she did say that, due to my current situation (my wife is starting therapy to learn how to get her mind fully around my situation and until she does I don't feel I can do a whole lot, and I live in a place currently that it just isn't safe for me to be able to seriously consider going out in public) we've decided to work on internal things for the moment.
Just the same, I got nothing as far as ideas outside of that for this ritual. So I'm going to ask yall!
... Any suggestions?
