Janine-Janine

I guess I should say hello here.

I have a few issues and although I'd mostly left the community behind long ago, it's hard to know where to turn to discuss some things. Friends, yeah, but who understands? Shrug. This kind of stuff tends to get ignored by most people I know anyway. Which is why I am feeling a bit isolated.

I transitioned 15 years ago. I find myself middle-aged now (choke, sob) and things not quite as I'd intended - worse in some ways, quite recently (not a 'regret' issue, BTW). But I suppose I should post on that elsewhere (post-op life?). Maybe someone can help a bit or doesn't mind the sound of violins too much...

Thanks for reading anyway. I'm nervous even posting this. :)

Middle-aged isn't so bad ... you could be old like me!  ;)

Hi Janine, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7431. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another member.

Welcome Janine,

Sorry to hear your are having some hard bits about life in your later years. I really wish there was a instruction book. Sad part there is not and we must work our way through all life throws at us.

Hope somehow things do get better and you come to understand ways to make life better going forward. The answers are there just need to stay postive and keep looking.

Hugs
Izzy

Welcome to Susan's, Janine. I'm sorry that you are struggling with some things. It's not hopeless, though.
Perhaps coming here will open up some avenues for you.

Thanks everyone. :) I'm trying to think about the least rambling way to express stuff at the moment. Don't want to go overboard, nor do I want to be unwittingly insensitive to anyone else (which is always worth considering). There are particular issues but it'd be really easy to say, "Everything!!" Which isn't quite true. It's a very stressful time and the last few days especially have been difficult for a lot of reasons.

Also I don't wanna be the Anti-Inspirational figure to anyone. In truth I messed a number of things up that didn't need to be messed up - my middle name is Stupid. And this goes back to being 20 years old. I'm early 40s now (and that's one insensitive point: I'm quite depressed about it, but this even annoys 'normal' friends who are older than me). Well, things are a lot different today... stuff that happened to me wouldn't even happen to me today, I don't think. I'm sure anyone longer in the tooth can vouch that information & support was a bigger issue back then. Trouble is, I dwell on it all the time. I don't want to. Anyhow... thanks again!
