Well as of yesterday, I'm off and running, so to speak. I started my HRT and I am looking forward to the changes to come. I know it's a long journey, but at least I am now on the path that will eventually lead to the wonderful Wizard of Oz (surgeon that is) LOL I've been so looking forward to this for such a long time I am quite overwhelmed with excitement, but also with tears, happy tears that is, I'll keep everybody updated as to how it's going.

Wizard of OZ= surgeon...hahaha! never thought of it that way but yea, I guess that's kind of true although my surgeon was not quite the wizard. Congrats on beginning this journey and best of luck! :)

A really significant and profound step on the road to being yourself.  Congratulations Melissa Ann.  My euphoria seemed nearly constant and lasted for months.  The joy of seeing myself emerge is priceless.  I now recognize that girl in the mirror who looks a lot like my mom and one of my sisters.

I will never look at Dorothy, her dress, and her sparkly red shoes quite the same way again, or what her true quest may have been.   ;D
