My name (well, my proper male name) is Trent. I'm FtM and from a nowhere town in Montana. I'm currently 21 and struggling to get anyone to believe I'm legitimately FtM because this is a fairly ignorant place. I'm not terribly convincing as far as passing goes, but I'm working on it. It's hard to fight off the depression of everyone acting like this is a phase and never, ever being taken seriously or being treated as what I really am, so I thought I'd reach out to people online. My friends have left me now that I'm out of the transgender closet, which you'd think I'd have expected, but it still hurts.

I'm kind of a linguistic nut, a literature nerd and a video gaming geek all at the same time. I'm not particularly cool, but I'm happy with what I'm a fan of, and with my hobbies. I have been informed by my father that since I'm not into football I'm not male. It's that kind of situation. I'm currently stuck living with my family due to not having the finances to go to college, which has been pretty awful, to say the absolute least.

Anyway, I'm hoping to make friends here and maybe get some support. Hi, everyone.

Hey Trent! Welcome to Susans.  What kind of video games do you like?  And personally, I know lots of guys who aren't into football.

Hey there Trent,

I'm from Montana too! Granted it's a big state...

Not sure where you're at, obviously, but there are support groups around the state that might be worth making a long trip to (at least once) to meet some other trans folks and get some support.

Anyways, lots to learn here, I'll see you around the site!

I have an addiction to horror games of all kinds. I don't know why - I don't like horror movies, but horror games are my favorite genre. I also have a love affair with the Grand Theft Auto series and really enjoy LA Noire.

Thank you both for welcoming me. It's nice to meet you!

Ah, I'm more of a JRPG man myself.  And your welcome!

Hi Trent! It's pretty silly that some people still believe in all the gender stereotypes out there. I'd be seriously challenged if I tried to find someone who meets everyone's definition of one gender or another. Football. Good gracious. Well, anyway, welcome. I hope you'll find a great deal of support here :)

Yea, it's like saying every female loves pink. I know plenty of females, cis and otherwise, that hate HATE pink.

Hi Trent, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7506. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

Hey there Trent!  Nice to meet you.

Whenever I associate Montana and glaciers, I recall studying the catastrophic failure of pre-historic Lake Missoula.
