Hello strangers, whom I hope to meet and get to know quite well  :D So, I've never really been great at introductions, but I hope I can do this a'ight, I suppose.

Humm, I was born female, but I identify as male, though a bit hesitant to really do anything at the moment. I'm pre-everything and still live at home, with my mom and step-father. I've only recently really been able to accept myself, simply because I've been mulling over what others would think if I told them. Honestly, before about December of last year, or the January/February-ish time of this year, I had never even considered something like trans*-ness (that is so not a word, but I make words up so often it's not even funny) before, because of how I grew up.. And honestly it wasn't even because of my parents that I'd think anything bad about it or anything (they're really open minded, due to their own.. Identities, I suppose?) but rather, the town that I grew up in, which when I think back at it, most of my classmate were pretty.. ehm.. close-minded all the way back to 2nd grade.. So, because of this, I never even thought that I could be different, like, at all. It took me having a couple of friends who were really open minded and a lesbian and a few gay guy friends, before I even came to realize I was bisexual. Anyways, I'm getting off point a lot.. (I really hope my ramblings aren't too hard to get used to.. My thoughts tend to wander) So, I've been lurking around these forums for a while, and haven't really signed up until today.. I'm pretty much just looking for support, as I'm a bit afraid to look for it in the real world, and also I'm hoping to move on with my own life, and progress.

So, anyways, again, hello everyone!

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Hi ThoughtTheif, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7619. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

I live in a small town in Colorado.. I'm not comfortable explaining specifically where I live or anything, though.. An' thanks for the welcome!

BTDT (=been there, done that)

I tell people I grew up "in the Ante-Bellum South."  Saying or thinking anything that hadn't been said or thought before the Civil War marked you as a weirdo, and they'd  "all move away from me on the bench," (as Arlo Guthrie put it.)  I now live in the New York City area, where people are used to seeing all kinds of different people.  (They may not like people who are different, but at least they don't call the Men in Black if they see a guy in a turban -- or a man in a skirt.)
