Hi all!

I had my SRS with Suporn in January 2012, but I still have some problems.

There is a very strong odor from my vagina. It smells like 'fish'. And yet I clean up and use a vaginal shower a few times after each dilation session (now once a week). A year ago my gynaecologist prescribed a very strong type of antibiotic to rule out a bacterial infection as cause for the odour. He is also did a swab test inside my vagina. Nothing was found on the swab. The good news is that after a couple of days after starting the antibiotic, the odour did dissapear. So I was very happy and relieved, finally. I had to take the pills for a total of 14 days, which I did.

After that period, it took a couple of days and the unpleasant odour was back. The vaginal discharge that had stopped during the antibiotic treatment came back too. It leaves me kind of stuck and desperate. The type of medicine was Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.

In March last year I had a revision in Thailand by Suporn. He told me that everything was fine and looked good. I only had to do more cleaning. The revision went well and I am happy now! But the odor thing is still there. I used different types of lubricant also.

Anyone who knows what might resolve this?

I feel you should head back to your OB/GYN for advice.

When it comes to possible health problems it is always better to talk to doctors then here on the forum.

Lots of luck and hope you can get the issue resolved.

Totally agree with this statement, it sounds like a bad infection, it may take a more stronger treatment.  Def go back to the ob/gyn doc.

strong odor..... If it ware a new operation I would have say fistula.... But as you have been operated in January 2012 you would have known by now if it was fistula. What does it smell like? stool? If that is the case it is most likely a fistula. Other then that it is some kind of infection. It is good that it was responsive to antibiotic therapy so it could be some kind of infection. Go to your GYN. If I was your doctor I would do some kind of contrast x ray to exclude small fistula. In case it is an infection antibiotics for sure...
Let me know how it goes.

Definitely see a doctor if the matter is bothering you, as it must be if you are posting here about it.  I do have a different odor from that area at 13 months, but my gynecologist says mine is girl normal even if a bit strong to my nose.  Your vagina does get some interesting "flora" just like a GG's does, and for the same reason.  What does your BF or other partner think?  For them it may be erotic.  The doctor will know.

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!
